The System of Environmental-Economic Accounting - Ecosystem Accounting (SEEA EA) is an integrated statistical framework providing information about measures, changes and vital conditions of ecosystems. The conceptual work links this information to measures of economic and human activity. 

To better understand the purpose and use of the SEEA EA, the United Nations Committee of Experts on Environmental-Economic Accounting announced the global consultation on the complete draft of the SEEA EA. The upgraded version of the document is considered to have an extended development from the preceding experimental framework and is accompanying Technical Recommendations, such as improvements of the central approach and clarification of definitions and concepts.
